THE OBJECTIVE

Since 2019, Valen Marie has been a top women’s clothing boutique in Southern California, building a loyal base of IRL clientele at their physical location in the San Fernando Valley. But ever since the pandemic, Nicole, the owner of Valen Marie, decided the boutique needed to pivot to have a more online presence that could attract clients all of the country, not just local.

She came to us wanting for the brand to appeal to a much wider reach with goals of becoming a top online women’s clothing boutique. And if there’s one thing Nicole knows, it’s her ideal customers - independent and dynamic women in their 20s and 40s who value their style as much as they value their comfort and wallets.

Because there are quite a few affordable and trendy women’s clothing boutiques in the online space, the new Valen Marie needed to have it’s own edge. With a more mature and timeless look across the board, we were able to create a brand essence for VM that effortlessly stands out and upholds high quality standards.

DESIGN NOTE

The primary logo illuminates the timeless essence of the VM brand, through an effortless and simple look. A look that says “I’m here to stay, I’m not going anywhere.” One of both stability and style, alluding to the beautiful products the brand is selling, as well the brand’s disposition as a reliable boutique for women in their late 20s-40s to find chic, trendy, and aligned wardrobe staples.

The brand mark plays with both a structured and fluid look. This represents the idea that the VM customer is a woman of structure, independence, and success, but at the same time has a fun, feminine, and trendy side to her.
