The Hakim-Moore Agency
THE OBJECTIVE
Founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 leader, Chloe Hakim-Moore, who’s led over $2.6 Billion in systems change work, The Hakim-Moore Agency is a social impact firm bridging the gap between good business, culture, and systems change.
The HMA is a culture, human, and data-centered brand so when Chloe came to us wanting to lay the foundation for the branding and web design, we knew there were many routes we could go down to create a powerful brand essence.
The mission of the HMA is grounded in data and numbers, but centered in the importance of well-being for all communities, demographics, and cultures. Because of that, we wanted to marry a modern science-forward look with one that is minimal, fluid, and approachable. Through the use of wavy line symbolism, modern editorial and san serif typography, clean layouts, ethereal two-toned backgrounds, and powerful photography (creative direction provided by CL Studio), the HMA beams confidence. It’s now a brand speaks change and game-changing strategy without saying a word.

DESIGN NOTE
There is so much symbolism throughout the branding and website for the HMA. In the HMA brand mark, the H and A each have a tail of their serif curved to create a unique take on a more traditional brand mark. This exhibits the brand’s mission of creating systemic and global change that goes beyond our world’s traditional ways.
In the abstract symbol mark, the 5 circles in the symbol represent each focus of well-being in the brand’s mission - in other words, the connectedness of Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, Communal, Systemic & Institutional, and Ecological. Together, the overlapping shapes on an upward velocity represents the interdependence of the various types of well-being and how each plays a part in creating real change in the world.
